GENERAL ASSEMBLY HEADLINES
Should the state require middle-school girls to be immunized against a cervical cancer virus? Virginia could become one of the first states to require parents to do so.  Delegate Phillip Hamilton, (R)-Newport News, has introduced a bill that would add the human papillomavirus vaccine to the list of immunizations needed for school attendance. Segment A: STORM STORY
It's been described as one of the finest untold World War II sagas of our time.  Author Bob Drury talks to Cathy about the new book he co-authored with Tom Clavin, "Halsey's Typhoon: A Fighting Admiral, an Epic Storm, an Untold Rescue".  It's a gripping true account of courage and survival at sea against impossible odds.

Segment B: WOMEN IN COMBAT
In 2004, author Erin Solaro went to Iraq to study American servicewomen — what they were doing, how well they were doing it, how they were faring in combat. In 2005, she went to Afghanistan on the same mission. Her conclusion: that the time to drop all remaining restrictions
on women's full equality under arms is now.  Cathy talks to the author of "Women in the Line of Fire: What You Should Know About Women in the Military"  in this segment.  You can call in with your questions and comments on today's HearSay.
