Digital Production Specialist – This position provides operational support for TV pre-production, production, and digital post-production tasks at WHRO. This position will also function as Videographer and Studio Director on an “as needed” basis. This position requires background in television production with general knowledge equivalent to four years of college plus one year of related experience. Web Assistant - WHRO seeks a part-time Web Assistant to work on design, deployment and maintenance of new and existing Web sites. The Web Assistant will report to the Director of Online Media.
Qualifications Required: Associate degree in new media, information technology, or related field or a combination of high school diploma with 3+ years of web design experience.
Must have extensive knowledge of web design; (X)HTML; CSS; understanding of Web 2.0 standards and best practices. Strong graphic design skills with extensive experience using Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and FrontPage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong commitment to deadlines and teamwork.
Five active URLs of the applicant’s projects will be required for review.
Qualifications Preferred: Experience working with and maintaining blogs, RSS feeds for podcasting, video streaming, social networking, etc. Proficiency in Flash design and current version of Adobe Flash.

TV Operations Technician & TV Production Personnel – WHRO is seeking operations & production personnel who are interested in being considered for our database of people available to work in a temporary part-time capacity. These positions will perform operational and production duties including but not limited to Master Control, switching, camera shading, videotape editing, camera operator, teleprompter, director and still store –CG operations. WHRO INTERNSHIP PROGRAM- WHRO offers an internship program to juniors and seniors enrolled in a college or similar curriculum to which the internship applies. The purpose is to allow qualified and interested students an opportunity to gain practical experience in a career setting. These experiences can allow students to combine their educational pursuits with day-to-day operations of the communications and broadcasting industry. While some internships can be used for college credit, it is not mandatory.
Individuals may apply in the same way they would apply for a job. An internship application, resume and cover letter are required. The appropriate department head to determine eligibility for the internship will then interview the individuals.
