Consortium for Interactive Instruction

As a user-directed, user-funded activity managed by WHRO, the C.I.I. is committed to leading the transformation of education by advocating the most appropriate uses of technology.
The C.I.I. is a regionally based consortium of public and private schools and universities that was inaugurated in 1984 and currently represents over 24,000 teachers and nearly 280,000 students in eastern Virginia.

Each year the C.I.I. provides dozens of professional development opportunities ranging from face-to-face hands-on workshops to web based courses to live two-way videoconferencing to “blended” classes incorporating a combination of delivery modes.
Networking & Communications To facilitate communication among technology leaders within the region, the C.I.I. publishes the online eNewsletter, Interactive and conducts a number of events including formal business meetings and special topic Forums.
